I have a goal– to travel to all seven continents and each region of the United States by 2020.
I have a background in sound design and audio post production. I love to travel, but insist on going light–typically just a modest backpack. In the past that that has led me to leave most of my electronics at home, but over time my desire to record the world around me expanded.
My travels to southeast Asia made me wish I had a recorder at every moment.
Well, let’s not make that mistake again.
Recorders are getting smaller all the time. Small mics are getting better all time. So here I go, with all the “wrong” equipment on travels. I have not idea what I’m doing. That’s probably okay. Neither does anyone else.
At a minimun, I will share my experience and memories, and hopefully all the sounds that go with it.
